What is better, the first one made or the second or third. What the heck is he talking about? I'll tell you what I'm talking about.
Sunday, after a long day at the first Montvale Street Fair, I came home exhausted and didn't move off the couch. My son John and Doris, my wife, were in the same physical condition because we were at the fair since early AM. I do not remember what channel we were watching on the TV, but on came Miami Vice. The original Miami Vice. Don Johnson and Phillip Michael Thomas, the real Crockett and Tubbs.
I used to love this show. I started in business in 1984, the same year the show started. As it turned out, I landed an account from Los Angeles, and they had NBC and Michael Mann Productions as clients. John Nicollela, who was the director, traveled to New York quite often, and he rode with us all the time. And when they did the New York show, we drove them all. That happened to be the show that was on Sunday. Actually, we watched three in a row. I fell asleep after two, but didn't want to admit it.
Here's my point! The original show, in my personal opinion, is a lot better then the remake with Colin Farrell and Jamie Foxx, even though Michael Mann was involved in both. Maybe it's nostolgia, or watching scenes of Miami Beach and beautiful women. I'm not really sure, but I really enjoyed the show.
Now, let's think about some other remakes. The In Laws, Peter Falk and Alan Arkin or Michael Douglas and Albert Brooks. Not even close. Falk was great. "The flies were so big they would come down and pick up the children and fly away with them". He was great. "Flames on my car". How can you forget "serpentine".
The A Team. More bullets were shot in the original. Machine guns and hand grenades, and guess what. No one ever died. You always saw someone walk away.
What else, think? Superman give me a break. Stak Trek, how in the world ( I mean universe) could the William Shatner version of James T. Kirk ever be beat. Posiden Adventure. Gene Hackman, Ernest Borgnine and Shelley Winters.
Enough already. Here is what I'm thinking. Is Perfect Limo Service an original? Sure, I left another company, but I brought alot of my ideas to that company which only made them better, and I was in on the ground floor. It started with two cars. Now every time some one leaves me and starts a limousine service, is it a remake? Are my former employees trying to make a better version of us? They can try, but it will never happen! Perfect Limo is comprised of pride and passion. People who work here enjoy being here. Sure, there maybe a few who could give a crap, but they get themselves thrown out anyway. I remember a fellow who worked for me a number of years ago. John E. He was a nit picker when it came to certain things, but there was one thing he once said that I can say is true even today. Perfect Limo employees are better than any other limousine company around. And he meant it! Just about five years ago with a whole different group, Jeff D. echoed those same words.
So you see, it is not easy making a copy You can try, but it won't be easy. Perfect Limo Service, Inc,. has the best anyone can offer in this industry!
Thank you.
